At Trinity Living Center we support the health, nutritional, social, and daily living needs of older adults and young adults with disabilities, so they can continue to live safely in their homes and communities for as long as possible.
Our Adult Day Services provide our participants with activities tailored to their specific needs and interests. Our program offers daily activities and occasional outings, moderate exercise and engaging projects.
We offer a multitude of entertainment and cognitive curriculum options to our participants, including music and art therapy, brain fitness, and pet therapy with visits from furry friends and our own in-house lifelike companion pets. There is truly something here for everyone.
We are proud to be a combination social/medical model care center. A nurse is on duty at all times to provide health monitoring, medication administration and other medical assistance.
We have daily offerings of a nutritional breakfast, hot lunch, and tasty snacks. Our bistro-style breakfast and coffee offers participants a quick and satisfying morning meal while they enjoy fellowship with others. Our hot lunch is catered in from Trinity Oaks. We offer two meal choices daily, so our participants can play a part in choosing their own meals. We can also meet the requirements of most special diets (pureed, finger foods, etc.). More information about special diets is available upon request.
With a handicap accessible whirlpool tub, we are able to offer all participants a day at the spa for a small fee. It’s all about comfort and atmosphere, with a wonderful set-up that includes aromatherapy and soothing music. Our staff is fully trained to assist your loved one in bathing in a safe and secure setting.
We are a door-to-door service and offer transportation through Rowan Transit for those who live within the pick-up area.
Our highly trained staff, along with our on-site Registered Nurse, provides daily care and monitoring of your loved one’s needs. With monthly vital signs monitoring, daily medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle, we believe we have found the key to providing care without it being overwhelming to the participant. We work hand in hand with the loved one's family to ensure an open pathway of communication, so we can always proactively address care concerns.
The activities and programs offered to our participants at Trinity Living Center aim to keep both the mind and body sharp. Our activities are tailored to meet an individual's personal capabilities and needs. We hope to address all of our participants' needs: sensory, physical, cognitive, spiritual and social.
Trinity Living Center staff are highly trained in care for those with cognitive impairments as well as many other conditions. All staff complete required monthly training sessions that cover a variety of different topics to ensure that we are on top of the ever-changing issues that arise in healthcare. As other opportunities present themselves (conferences, well known dementia experts, webinars, etc.), staff are encouraged to take part and attend.
We are conveniently located at 1416A S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., right outside of downtown Salisbury. Our building has ample space for up to 60 participants per day and is designed specifically for ease of use with all areas being handicapped accessible and the entire building being secured. Many of our rooms (Sunrooms) open to the outdoors and feature paved walkways, plantings, delightful rocking chairs along with patio tables and chairs covered with big umbrellas. Our outdoor space is securely gated and monitored. Quiet rooms provide space for much needed rest and relaxation. We encourage caregivers to schedule a private tour to see the other unique features offered!
Nearly one in four North Carolinians is providing care for someone aged 60 or older. And nearly half of those are caring for someone who has some degree of dementia. Many of these caregivers are stretched to the breaking point and need some support.
Trinity Living Center has entered into a new partnership with St. John’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury to open a half-day group respite program — the first in the community — called Trinity Living at St. John’s.
Like Trinity Living Center, Trinity Living at St. John’s will offer caregivers respite while giving their loved ones companionship and activities to enjoy. The program will be housed in what is known as “The Pit” – the lower level of St. John’s Faith Center, located at 200 W. Innes Street (the North Jackson Street entrance).
